SP-Designer workflows don’t like it to use list columns of type person/group with more than one single entry. Here is a workaround using dynanic strings…..

 a SP-Designer workflow is used to send e-mails to more that one recepient at a time there is a little problem in creating this workflow activity. Especially if a listfield is used to refer to the e-mail recepient.
The SP-Designer allows only listfields configured for single entries. If you are using a list column configured for multiple entries for persons/users or groups these list column will not show up as e-mail recepients in the workflow wizzard.

The workaround:

• Create a workflow activity using build dynamic string (not sure if this is the correct term in english, but you know the thing with “dynamic” in it) and assing it to a variable.
• click on dynamic string an select the multiple persons column from your list or library
• Now you can use the variable created in your previous workflow activity to assing it as a e-mail recepient (use workflow lookup)

Problem solved.

Wenn man in einem SP-DesignerWorkflow versucht eine E-Mail an mehrere Empfänger zu versenden und die Empfängeradressen aus einem Listenfeld generiert werden sollen, welches als Spaltentyp Person/Gruppe mit zugelassener Mherfachauswahl hat, so wird diese Listenspalte im Workflow-Designer nicht zur Auswahl angeboten.

Als Workaround:

• Erstellen Sie eine Workflow Aktivität “dynamische Zeichenfolge erstellen” und weisen Sie die dynamische Zeichenfolge einer Variablen zu
• Klicken Sie auf “dynamische Zeichenfolge” und wählen dann als Nachschlagevorgang die Listenspalte aus, in der die E-Mail Empfänger Personen enthalten sind
• Nun können Sie in der Aktität E-Mail versenden die Variable, die Sie vorher erstellt haben, als Empfängeradresse benutzen (Workflow-Nachschlagevorgang).

Problem gelöst.
